Stoughton High Theatre Program Presents Puffs Nov. 19-21

The magic of live theatre is back at Stoughton High School! The Stoughton High School Theatre Program is proud to present the Puffs; or, Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic, written by playwright Matt Cox. The Hufflepuffs finally get their due in this hilarious new Harry Potter-inspired parody.

Puffs tells the story of an “ordinary” young man, Wayne Hopkins, a boy from New Mexico who finds out he’s a wizard and travels to a certain school of magic, where he is placed in the “Puffs,” a group of loyal and good intentioned misfits. Wayne meets goth girl Megan and math nerd Oliver, teaming up to become THE trio at the school. The three have a mission – make their house, known for their aggressive politeness, unwavering loyalty, and adjacency to the kitchens – finally get third place in the House Cup! Over the course of the seven years at the school, the Puffs get thrown into situations both dangerous and ridiculous. Between trying to learn magic, not trying to get lost or hurt in the labyrinths of the school, and trying to avoid his four-eyed nemesis, Wayne and the rest of the characters in this play take us on a magical journey unlike any we’ve ever experienced.

Join us to see what misadventures the Puffs get into, with plenty of laughs for the whole family!
